Likes: Time with family and friends, mentoring emerging leaders, immersive travel, human connection, sand and sunshine. Dislikes: Inefficiency, negativity, social injustice, underutilized potential, clutter. Brooke is a devoted professional and committed community advocate who lives along the scenic shores of Lake Erie in Bay Village, Ohio alongside her husband, Tom, and their two children, Owen (13) and Audrey (9). Together, they have built a life filled with family, travel, and meaningful community involvement. With over 20 years of experience in software and retail merchandising, Brooke has leveraged her business acumen and operational skills to make a positive impact on her community, especially for those in need. Recently, her work with Refugee Response has been a source of deep fulfillment. As an ESL tutor and client advocate, she has helped female Afghan immigrants acclimate to life in the U.S., guiding them as they build confidence on their journey to citizenship and adjusting to their new environment. Brooke’s support extended well beyond language tutoring, forming lasting bonds with the women she worked with and providing a foundation of encouragement and friendship. Brooke has further championed the empowerment of women through her role as Special Project Chair for the Junior League of Cleveland, where she partnered with local organizations to address critical community needs. She also served as a business coach with CEO Women, a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit supporting minority women entrepreneurs, offering strategic guidance and mentorship to help them succeed in their ventures. These experiences have deepened Brooke’s commitment to building inclusive, supportive communities with practical solutions that empower individuals to thrive. She is excited to bring her passion for community building and strategic insight to her role on the Board of the Cleveland Angels. |
