Kris married her college sweetheart, Brad right out of college. They have 15 and a half year old twins. David has mad technological skills, enjoys crypto currency and playing the guitar in two bands. Sophie loves soccer, spending time with her friends and volunteering/fostering kittens at the Friendship APL. Through many foster fails, Kris and her family have accumulated 4 cats, Basil, Bucky ( the 3 legged cat), Coco, Calie McBeal and a dog named Indie (Indiana Jones). Life is never boring at her house.
Kris earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from BGSU. She went on to get her Master’s in Reading. She has spent the last 20 years teaching elementary school, focusing on teaching kids how to read and how to understand and appreciate literature. She lead the way bringing One District, One Book to her school, putting a quality read in the hand of every child and staff in the district once a year. Although she will miss the classroom, Kris was ready for something different.
Over the past 20 years, Kris has spent many hours volunteering through Big Brothers, Big Sisters, with refugee families through Catholic Charities and through her volunteer work at the Friendship APL. She is excited to work in a new capacity, walking along foster families at Cleveland Angels.
